Deuces Wild Appendix 2
Normally in full pay deuces wild video poker when
the player has the choice of keeping either (1) two to a royal
flush, king high, with no penalty cards, or (2) nothing, the best
play is to keep the two suited high cards. However in some
situations discarding everything is the better play. For example
take the following hand:
Normally in situations like this the best play is to keep the
suited queen and king. However this particular play is one of the
exceptions and the player should discard everything. Following is a
complete list of such exceptions. The exceptions are listed first
according how the first, second, and third discard in rank order are
suited. The exceptions are listed second by which high card is
suited with the king. Pairs of discards meeting the exception are
then listed to the right of the card suited to the king.
